The purpose of this thread is to take an actual adventure and find the actors & sets for a Traveller scenario (assuming that budgets were unlimited).

For example, take the Travellers from The Travellers' Digest

Some folks played with this notion over on the TML one time. I picked it up and latter used it as a template for NPC's for my campaign. Anywho, here's what I came up with, a grand epic movie casting call.

Casting for my Traveller universe:

Ps its been a while since I messed with this topic; I think IIRC that Marc Oberlindes Girl Friends name is wrong. IIRC, I think it should have been Zinnovia.

Yeah I knew I got this wrong. It should have been Sergei Hault Oberlindes and his Girl Friend Zinnovia, not Marc Hault Oberlindes and his Girl Friend Zilla, although I suppose daddy Marc COULD have a girl friend named Zilla graemlins/file_22.gif Oh well, whatever.

seeing that there is NO ONE good enough to play or be cast as TRADER JIM, TRADER JIM will play TRADER JIM!!!!

Not everyone has a copy of the Traveller's Digest material. (Not to mention the current copyright problem.)

My understanding was Lucan and Varian were twins and in thier 20s in 1116. So I figure someone younger would play the parts. I thinking Leonardo.

I would have cast a younger Leo Mckern. He's a british actor that was in "Man for all Seasons"(1966), "Rumple of the Bailey"(BBC series on PBS Mystery, and "Lady Hawk"(The drunken banished priest)

Interesting list of names. I like all of them. The only issue for doing Zhodani is they either have to do some camera work or cgi to simulate thier height.

I always figure someone tall and lanky, basketball player or Howard Stern build, would work.

Of the best to play a Zhodani is Osama Bin Laden. He has the complexion, build, and height. Of course we all know his current situation makes him completely unavailable. ;)

I'd go with Sean Connery for Norris and Patrick Stewart for Marc hault-Oberlindes (for you old timers out there, think of the picture in the Traveller Adventure).
