Stellar Reaches: Seeking Adventure Submissions… page 1

Good morning, All,

We are now accepting submissions for Issue #4. Of particular interest are Traveller adventures. (You can never get enough adventures!) The ideal adventure submission for Stellar Reaches is 1-8 pages in length (using Times New Roman at 10 point font for the body), and is written using the BITS task system so that it can be used by any of the published Traveller rule sets.

Setting: While the editor would greatly love to see adventures set in the Empty Quarter sector, he is open to adventures of either a generic nature or using a published (and preferably canonical) OTU setting.

If you are interested in making such a contribution, please feel free to contact the editor with your suggested plotline, or even with a completed document. Your work would be greatly appreciated.

With Regards,
Jason "Flynn" Kemp

If both yourself and the eventual author like, I can translate the adventure into GRiP format and add tactical maps and maybe some pics for enhancement smile.gif

What is the deadline? I might have a combo of the deckplans (and HG stats) for a 2,000-dton Science Cruiser and a horror adventure set aboard such a vessel (generic setting), but it could take about a month or two to make.

Also, would you like Striker submissions? I could give you a full TL12 Marine Battalion, complete with vehicle stats, quite soon.

Also, in a few weeks I'll have the HG stats and deckplans for a TL12 police frigate ("Type-T Patrol Cruiser" in LBB2 terms), possibly with an "all you ever wanted to know about the Type-T and you've never dared to ask" article, including crew and troop stats, G-Carrier Striker stats, and even the contents of the Ship's Locker and campaign use suggestions.

And last but not least, would you like a "High Guard Expanded" article with several new components and rulings?

Anything that makes it after Feb 1st is more likely to be considered for Issue #5 instead of #4. Depends on how things go in my mundane life as to how soon I get #4 out. smile.gif

All of the above sound good, though I must admit that I would prefer adventures first, then the police frigate, then the Striker submission, and finally the HG mods. I think that this is the order that would give the most usefulness to the most people. (I could be wrong, of course.)

Thanks for your support, my friend,
Flynn

The deckplan for the Dragon-class Police Frigate is online here (http://www.travellerrpg.com/cgi-bin/Trav/CotI/Discuss/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=000900#000000).
After getting whatever comments from the forum members, I'll get to wotk on my submission. About the crew list, what chargen system do you prefer them to be generate with? LBB1? LBBs 4 and 5? My "LBB1/CotI Expanded" (http://www.travellerrpg.com/cgi-bin/Trav/CotI/Discuss/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=44;t=000215;p=2) system (by the way, do you want me to post it as an article in SR #4/#5?)?

P.S. Can't PM you as your mailbox is full; please empty some space in it smile.gif

aww shoot. I don't have adventures at the moment (except my own custom-made adventures which is suitable for my campaign only).

I do have some "items" available for submission .... similar to The Ship's Locker feature on the old JTAS. All my items follow along canonical OTU lines, of course.
