It was good to read here (http://www.farfuture.net/) that these are at the printer and will be out in the first half of March. While the 006 delay from December was naturally a bit of a downer, the news that 007 will come out with it is quite welcome! Thanks for the update.

Any word if Marc is on schedule with the Twilight 2000 reprints and whether he got the rights to City of Angels?

OK, has anyone who preordered received their copies yet? How much longer should it take for them to reach the stores?

I was at the local gaming store the other day, and they hadn't arrived yet. I'm guessing they'll be in by the middle of next week.

OK, yesterday I went to Gatorgames in San Mateo, and they hadn't gotten in the reprints.
Today, after I balance my tires, I'm going down to D&J Hobby in San Jose. If I don't see them there, I'm going to scream http://www.farfuture.net/ixs/smile.gif

Hunter,
You seem to have Marc's inner ear. Is he waiting for T20 at GAMA or will the releases come earlier...

Honestly can't say because I don't know. He is at GAMA currently so I can't ask either http://www.farfuture.net/ixs/frown.gif
Soon as I hear from him I'll ask

If previous experience is any guide we will be informed on this board when the books ship. Patience Grasshopper.

I am increasingly of the opinion that RPGs are by the nature of their creation subjective phenomenon. due to the interaction between game designers, game masters, and game players all definitions, rules, settings, and adventures are mutable in acordance with the uncertainty principle as expounded by Heisenburg. This is of course merely my point of view.

Yeah, they'll announce it. They *still* missed the ship date.

I thought I was being lenient by saying "the first half of March," since the actual announcement read (and still reads) March 8. But here it is, the end of March, with no books.
I sent in my payment to my favorite online game dealer (the closest thing I have to a FLGS) right before March 8th to ensure fastest shipping, so I have a couple of other games awaiting shipment at the same time he gets the newest FFE books (that's OK - I always order in bulk to save on shipping, so I wouldn't have ordered the games except to ship with the two new FFE books, anyway). But, I must observe that the March 8 ship date was announced on or about February 13 (when I first posted). That's less than a month beforehand. I happen to work at a print/copy shop, so I know all too well what can go wrong. But there's no way that we'd promise a client a product by the 8th of a month and fail to deliver it by the end of that month. If our print shop were capable of turning out the quality of product that FFE 001-005 represent, I'd be hawking our wares to the estimable Mr. Miller, but we aren't, so I don't. But, I might humbly suggest, with no offense intended, that he might look for another printer that can meet ship dates (or at least come close). I know the grief that our customers give us if we're only a *few days* late: a three week delay would certainly see them taking their business elsewhere.
Now, I'm a big fan of the reprints, and I don't want anyone to get the idea that I wish them harm. It's my affinity for them, in fact, that makes waiting so hard. We saw a delay from the initially announced date of December, but then to see an early March date announced in mid-February, then see it come and go... I don't blame FFE/Marc Miller - I don't care about blame at all. I just want to see those great books! http://www.farfuture.net/ixs/smile.gif
Regards,

The big reason I am feeling impatient about the release is that I am not looking forward to the Journal Reprints (though I will buy them the moment they show up), I am looking forward to the Modules and Alien Modules.
I am still concerned that Mr. Miller is going to just bag the whole effort before he gets to the pieces I really want to see.

no kidding. so far he hasn't hit a ship date yet.
one simple question - do these things make money or don't that? if so, crank 'em out. if not, then open a REAL antique store.
I'll buy the stuff, but I get ticked that they can't keep a schedual.

Thanks for the pointer, FCS (and for the update itself, FFE). It's not the best news, but it's better than not knowing.

Well, I have to say I'm happy I finally got to read Robots (the one supplement I could never find), and I'm also glad that I now have a "full" version of Snapshot again. I'm glad to have the reprints. I really am. I'm somewhat dissapointed in the continued delay of further reprints. But I'm sure there're factors that have contributed to this that are beyond my comprehension.
