I see the starport 101 topic has been closed since 2003. Is there any word on when or if the starport book will be made available?

I never got anything further submitted on it. If Shane or Liam still have any of the material on it I'd love to move forward with it.

I would love to see it. From what i've seen in the starport design 101 topic, this would definitely be something i'd like to get my hands on.

Totally different stuff I agree. So I suggest some classic literature for spawning thoughts:
Elisbeth Moon: Vattas's War has quite a bit on trading and various ports
C.J. Chereen (sp?): The various novels on the stations have trade politics
Poul Anderson: Polysotechnical League/Niklas van Rijn stories have some trader and port elements
Challenge, Hard Times and the Starship Operators Manual had some tidbits on ports and port service
There was/is a thread in the LoneStar forum about ports

The Starport project lives. Liam is deployed in Iraq (I think) so it is on hold until he returns.
