Traveller recommended reading list page 1

I remember coming across a recommended reading list in some bit of Traveller material that GDW published years ago. It contained a list of recommended Sci-fi novels that would help players and GM's. I can't remember where I saw this. Could anybody help me out?

Well, lets see... the was a list of reading material in Supplement 4, Citizens of the Imperium, which I suppose could be seen as recommended material.

There used to be a whole category on this subject in this forum...I'll see if I can't find it and throw some wood on the fire.

What were the recommended novels listed in Supplement 4? By the way, I think a revived reading list thread on this board is a great idea.

The list in the back of Sup 4 was an answer list to who the heros and Villains were.
The list is:
1. Luke Skywalker, Star Wars, Gene Lucas ?, (I thought it was George Lucas)
2. James " Slippery Jim" DiGriz, The Stainless Steel Rat, Harry Harrison
3. Sargeant Major Calvin, Sword and Scepter, the Mercenary, Jerry Pournelle

5. Jame Retief, Retief series, Keith Laumer
6. Lord Darth Vader, Star Wars, Gene Lucas

I have read many of these, and need time to read the rest.
I thought it is odd that GDW gave credit to Star Wars to "Gene Lucas"
